Meet Clair
Therapeutic Counsellor
I have spent the last 19 years studying human behaviour, relationships, and the workings of the mind – formerly in university teaching, research and support roles and now, as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor supporting people with psychological, emotional and relationship difficulties.
My primary training is Integrative (Humanistic). My focus is on the whole person rather than solely addressing specific symptoms or issues, which means our therapeutic process will consider all parts of you, mind, body, spirit and soul, as well as the social and cultural aspects of your experience.
Integrative counselling also draws upon different therapeutic approaches and techniques, tailoring the treatment to each client's unique needs and preferences. My approach is influenced by Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theories of the unconscious. This flexibility allows for a holistic and personalized approach to therapy, with the goal of resolving your issues or helping you to become who you were always supposed to be.

I am fully insured, hold membership with the NCPS and adhere to their ethical guidelines (Membership number: NCS24-00141).
